Let's Ride!

This ride will take us on roads east of Gwangju, south of the Nam Han River (Namhangang). We will end up at the Pork BBQ place on Hwy 70 (the name of the restaurant is Hooninae Barbeque, although I may not have Romanized it correctly).

Ride brief will be at 0700 -- will roll immediately following brief (approx. 0710).

Route: Out Gate 52, across Banpo Bridge; Left at the Seoul Arts Center

Right on 41 (Unjuro), then take 308 to Namhansanseong.

From Namhansanseong, 43 South, 325 South, 98 East, Mystery Road East, 70 East, cross river

37 South, 88 East, 349 north, 6 West, 44 east, 494 West, 70 South(west), then Arrive at Pork Place.


After Lunch we'll come directly back in on 6 and 70.

Return to Yongsan approx. 1330-1400. Ride Mileage is about 145.

Part of me is saying "Drive back to Seoul on Friday so you can ride on Saturday." But Sunjoo's coming down here on Friday to spend the weekend - looks like we'll miss out But I'll be ready for the next weekend, and Sunjoo and I are talking about taking a whole week for the Chase the Sun . . . instead of coming back to Seoul on Monday like everyone else we'll just keep chasing (not the sun of course) and see where we end up.

I will be there. I just got back last night and looking forward to riding again.

Thanks for leading a great ride. Despite the hot weather and some traffic, it was good to ride some new roads. Once we got in the mountains, it was really nice. Coming back into Seoul at 1pm seems to have much less traffic. I like getting out earlier in the morning. My daughter also really enjoyed it.
