We are approved for our annual JSA ride on 11 September 2010 pending submission of rosters and Korean Declaration forms.

To create the roster, I need the attached form completed for all who wish to participate and for Korea citizens, the attached declaration must also be
completed. Please note the instructions on the attached form and declaration. And, before you ask, yes, French, Philippine and Thai citizens can participate using just their passports. I know about these because I've checked. For all other nationalities except US, Korea or French or Philippine or Thai, contact me first.

The form and the declaration need to be to me by COB, 27 August 2010.

If you only think you might go, complete the paperwork. It is easy to cancel someone...it is too hard to add someone.

JSA ride details follow:

0645 Safety Brief at Townhouse
0700 Depart Townhouse
0715 Depart G52
0830 Arrive Imjimgak for break and tour area
0930 Depart Imjimgak
0945 Meet escort at Tongil Bridge
0945-1000 Escorted ride to Briefing Facility
1000-1130 Briefing and visit to Conference Row, Check Point #3 and the Bridge of No Return
1145-1230 Lunch at DFAC (pending approval)
1230-1245 Travel to OP Dora
1245-1315 OP Dora
1315-1330 Travel to Tunnel #3
1330-1430 DMZ Movie, Tunnel #3 Museum, and Tunnel #3
1430-1445 Travel to Motorcycle parking Facility
1445-1500 Escorted travel back to Tongil Bridge
1500-1515 Travel to Imjimgak for short break
1515 Depart Imjimgak
1630 Arrive Townhouse

You can send your forms to me at dfenwick@acm.org, douglas.fenwick@us.army.mil or secy@roaddragons.com

Doug,

I'm planning to attend with a rider. Not sure yet who the rider will be - either my wife or one of my sons. In the meantime, I'll e-mail you the information for everyone so it's on file.

Is there an age limit? For the USO tour, you have to be 10 years old, and my youngest is 9. But most likely it will either be my wife or my oldest (11 years old).

Mark

Billy,

I'll forward you what I had e-mailed Doug. However, since then I have a conflict now with this ride and unfortunately won't be able to go. But I'll go ahead and send you the info anyway to heed Doug's advice in the original post in case my plans change.

Thanks, Mark

Home page says 0745 Safety Brief, original post says 0645 Safety Brief. I'm a Beemer rider, and everyone knows we're easily confused. So, I'm confused. Is it 0645, 0745, or do I split the difference and call it 0715? Looking forward to taking Sunjoo up and hopefully this time it will be a little dryer.

10 years by the lunar calendar, solar calendar, or mental calendar? I might not qualify under all three.

10 Years old??? I guess that leaves me out!!!

It just dawned on me....is there a dress code we have to follow for this ride? Are jeans and a T permitted? Unwiring minds want to know.

Glad you asked

There is a dress code for PMJ. Everyone will be wearing leathers, and that's no problem. Just need to make sure everyone understands that they need to dress respectably. Jeans and boots are OK, but no holes. And t-shirt are OK, but no ragged t-shirts or t-shirts with objectionable words/pictures/cartoons on them and no tank tops. UNCMAC takes the dress code very seriously. As soon as we walk out onto Conference Row, we are no longer representing the Yongsan Motorcycle Club, we are representing UNC and the Command - and believe me NK is watching and taking pics so make the Command and the UNC soldiers we honor wiht our visit proud of us! So please dress appropriately. And we will do an appearance check at the Imjimgak parking lot before we proceed to the bridge to meet out escort!

Doug;
I just want to make sure that we will be able to stick to the schedule rain or shine. Current forecast is for 100% chance of rain. I really want Sunjoo to see all that you have on the schedule. On the other hand, riding up in the rain and turning around because its raining would be a disappointment. I'm from Oregon - riding in the rain is . . . well, if you don't ride in the rain you don't ride. So, no problem riding in the rain, just want to make sure we will still be able to execute once we get there. Can you say "Liquid Sunshine?" (I remember three months ago when the Korean weather forecasts said "Ealier monsoon's expected, with heavier than usual percipitation". What happened to the "earlier" part???
