All,

I have received an invitation for YMC to join the Rough Riders MC on their Poker Run on 16 Oct 10. See attached flyer for details.

If you are interested in attending or have any comments/questions, reply back to this thread.

I'm interested. Is it a loooooong dayride or an overnighter?
How many in the YMC have shown interest?

I talked to Josh Caldwell, one of the RR members and unofficial cook. The Poker Run gets done around 1500, followed by a BBQ that features 2 roasted pigs. I'm planning to go and return to Seoul that night.

Bros. and Sisters,

Due to tidal conditions, we are having to postpone the Jebu-do Shrimp run that was planned for 16 OCT.

As this was a ride opportunity on the 16th, it was voted at tonight's club meeting that we would put the RRMC poker run on our ride calendar as an official club ride.

Current plan is to have our normal 0745 safety brief and 0800 departure from the Town House.

More details on the agenda and ride plan will follow after Billy and I get a chance to talk with the Rough Riders.

At the meeting last week, we discussed staying overnight down there after the Poker Run BBQ. Is anyone coordinating the room reservations? Hardware recommended the Yong Chon Hotel, but I don't have a number. My family is planning to drive down and stay overnight with me, so we'll need a room that can sleep four (beds are most definitely preferred), or two rooms if necessary.

Yong Chon Hotel and the World Hotel are both good hotels to stay at. The average cost is 80 USD per night. Both are within less than 5 minute walk to the Osan main gate. I will post the numbers for both tomorrow. They speak English so please make your own reservations. If I were you, I would get 2 rooms, since the "double" sized beds are way too small and I am not sure they even have a room with 2 doubles, even so too small.
I am spending the night as well, probably park scoot after poker run and catch a cab to club house and back to hotel.

All/Les,

I will not be spending the night, got plans for early Sunday morning (and Saturday night) so I will be leaving straight after the ride is complete. Gas and go. Will call Les to work it out or see if someone else is spending the night for the ride back.

Sun Hwa's plans have changed so I will be going down for the poker run and coming back right after. I just need to stop by Dark Horse for 15 minutes or less sometime while we are down there.

I'm in to. Also I have a question. There is a group of riders (not a club) that ride crotch rockets. They saw the flyer for the poker run and want to go but problem is they don't know their way there. They wanted to know if they could follow us down there?

Did they receive an invitation from the RR like we did? If not I think they need to contact the RR as a courtesy and then they can follow us down.

Sir
no I don't think they received an invitation because their not a club. One NCO saw the flyer and told other riders about it and they decided they wanted to do the poker run. I don't think they knew they needed an invitation. There is approximately 6-8 bikes. Will it be a problem sir to get an invitation for them so they can follow us?

I believe as a courtesy so the Rough Riders know who is coming and how many bikes to plan for, the group needs to contact the Rough Riders in advance.

Since the RR are providing skull caps/riding goggles/food/beer for each rider, they should let the RR know how many are coming for planning purposes.

BTW - slight change of plans for me. My family won't be coming down, but I'm still planning to spend the night. I'll crash at Hardware's place and leave for Seoul at o'dark hundred.

Looking forward to the ride!

Here are some routes to Songtan.

If using these routes, the recommended route down is "Harly Yong-In via 23", followed by "Harley Yong-in to Songtan". This route will take you right by the RRMC Clubhouse. The RRMC Clubhouse is a waypoint in this file.

Also I have attached the RRMC Clubhouse waypoint separately in case anyone just wants the point.
